Aaron Jones Drags Popular Packers-Blogging Website Through Mud After Unpopular Post
Aaron Jones has been a fan-favorite and one of the most consistent, productive, and dynamic offensive players since beginning his career with the Green Bay Packers in 2017.
So Friday when the Packers-focused blogging and podcasting website Cheesehead TV published the article Three Reasons The Packers Should Cut Ties With Aaron Jones, it surely expected to draw some ire from Packers fans.
But from Jones himself? Probably a bit of a surprise. Jones re-tweeted the post with a caption which read "Damn this one hurts cause I LOVED y'all's Twitter page."
The response may likely have been in fun, but that didn't stop the army of cheeseheads coming to the defense of the beloved running back, and coming after Cheesehead TV and the article's writer, Bruce Irons.
Cheesehead TV afterwards posted several humorous apologetic tweets as well as a video from the website's co-founder Aaron Nagler. In the video Nagler emphasized that the views in the story were not the views shared by the website, but that there is no censorship of differing opinions in what is published.
Former Packers tackle Bryan Bulaga chimed in, tweeting "Don’t worry about the noise bud. If it were up to CheeseheadTv I probably would of been cut in 2013 hahahahha. Just keep doing your thing , your value is well known."
Jones posted one more tweet Friday night taking a jab at the situation. He shared a tweet regarding his career high 1112 yards with the caption "Make sure @cheeseheadtv and @BruceIronsNFL see this Im Elite and I'm only getting better !"
